My dentist has told me I can't have a new metal plate made and I don't know why as I have had one for over 10years and have had teeth added at various times. I now need another tooth adding as I have a loose one and he has said I can have one added but can't have a new one in the NHS and I can only have a plastic one ?

It seems like it would be better to just add a tooth to your existing partial if it still fits ok. The plastic ones tend to be a but more bulky and not fit as good.
